Connection Note Draft is a Chrome extension that helps a user draft one short connection note for the LinkedIn profile page they are currently viewing.
The extension is user-triggered. It does not auto-send messages, auto-connect with people, or run bulk scraping jobs.
When the user opens a LinkedIn profile page and clicks Generate, the extension reads selected visible text from that page. Depending on what is visible on the page, this can include:
The extension reads only the current LinkedIn profile page the user has opened in their browser. It does not crawl other pages in the background.
The user provides:
The extension stores the following settings in the user’s Chrome profile using chrome.storage.sync:
These settings are stored locally in the browser profile. If the user has Chrome Sync enabled, Chrome may synchronize these settings across that user’s signed-in Chrome browsers.
When the user clicks Generate, the extension:
The user manually copies the generated note. It is not auto-sent.
The extension shares data only in the following way:
The extension does not send this data to the developer through a separate backend or external database.
The extension does not sell data, does not share data with advertisers, and does not maintain a remote database of profiles, prompts, notes, or API keys.
